Growing Up with Sugar
Sitting in my living room holding my dog, Sugar, who we’ve had since I was in kindergarten. Coming home every day to see Sugar excited to see me makes me happy, and she’s a great companion to my sister and me. Sugar is a Maltese Terrier, so she’s a born hunter who goes after possums, but she’s a fluffy lap dog at heart. I feel like she’s an old soul, and all the other dogs respect her.
Family Time in Washington DC
Here’s my Aunt Marg and I standing in front of the Capitol Building in 2023 in Washington, DC, which is where my aunt lives. I had learned a lot about American History, but this was my first time visiting Washington, DC, and I was impressed with the deep historic significance of many monuments and museums. We visited the Museum of Natural History and the White House.

Aunt Marg and I rented a paddle boat to have some fun paddling around the Potomac, and I was able to get a full view of the cityscape from the river.

Here I am with my dog Indy, who we’ve had for 5 years. We fostered his Mom, and his mom gave birth in our living room. We named him Indiana Bones, after Indiana Jones, since he was so adventurous and brave. He was a leader even as a pup, leading his siblings and protecting them. We loved him so much, we ended up keeping him! He loves going to the beach and swimming, which are 2 of my favorite activities, so I usually take him along. He has a crazy amount of energy, and he loves to play and fight, but at night he relaxes and keeps me company.
