Learning about Entrepreneurship
Here I am with my Entrepreneurship classmates and several local elected state representatives. For my Entrepreneurship class at school, my teacher created a ‘Shark Tank’ style project that was judged by our local elected leaders and business people. We practiced how to pitch our ideas, and we put together a product that involved automatic reactive tinting for windows that allows the windows to become tinted based on the amount of UV light present. Our initial pitch was for commercial purposes, since there was significant potential to save on heating and cooling costs for large buildings. We also put together a business model for residential and vehicle usage in order to expand our target audience. The judges liked my group’s presentation the best out of 6 groups, which gave us the opportunity to present our product to our whole school. Eventually, we were also mentioned as winners in our local newspaper.
